About Me

Hey there!  I'm Hacker and I'm a 40-something golf nut from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.  I'm certainly not the best golfer that you'll ever meet but I don't think that I'm the worse either.  I started playing golf as at the tender age of 10 but, due to a number of reasons, quit playing for the better part of a decade during my 20's.

Over the past 20 years (give or take), I have rediscovered the game and started playing casually with my buddies for entertainment and a little exercise.  It wasn't until I hit 40 that I decided that it was time to invest a little time, money and effort into becoming a better golfer, to see how low I can get the old index.

I started the summer of 2009 with an index of approximately 23.5 and by the end of the year I was down to a 17.6.  The 2010 season is now upon us and my golf for this year is to shave off another 4-5 strokes.

I decided to create this blog to help me me gather and organize my thoughts in one place.  I will write about my rounds and my practice sessions.  I will write reviews for any new equipment that I happen to purchase, I will review the courses that I play and I will post anything and everything golf-related that I think may be of use to me or anyone who happens upon this blog.

If you are reading this, I hope that you are able to find some tidbit of information that helps you out in some way or adds to your body of knowledge about the great game of Golf.

Hit em long and may all your gimmies be for Birdie
